I guess i stopped blogging. Not really though. It’s just that my blogging activities have morphed into something of a lifestream over at Jaiku. And since i’m doing that i thought i might as well redo my blog as a tumblelog, subscribe it to all the relevant stuff and be done with it.

This ‘archive’ blog version will stay live forever though. And since this is where my Wordpress plugins live i guess i might still use it for that, only you will be probably be better off subscribing to my new feed if you want to keep up to date. Posts here will show up there too so that way you will never miss a thing.

Guess i didn’t run fast enough. For some reason Robert found it neccessary to force me to spill the beans and tell all, well not all exactly but five things you didn’t know already none the less. So here goes…

1. When i was little i used to use my fathers pc to download hot steaming ASCII and greyscale porn from pre-internet BBS systems. 8 bit baby!
2. Slightly before or after that i once went on holiday to suriname with my parents and while sitting on the beach Bouterse arrived in a big steel boat along with his following and started having a luxurious lunch guarded by grim looking soldiers. I don’t actually remember this myself though, but my parents later told me. There’s also stories involving tigers and whatnot that i forgot, the bad memory must be a genetic thing…
3. I applied for art school fresh out of high school but never made it past the final rounds.
4. I proceeded to wanting to make robots so i applied for Artificial Intelligence next, beginners mistake. I learned about multiple integrals and Taylor series for about a year before running away screaming. Maybe i should have moved to japan?
5. I built my first commercial website for a piling company where i had a cleaning job. They paid me in computer parts. I checked and the damn thing is still online even; behold the animated piling machine!

Well, thats as much as you will get out of me. Which means i’ll have to pass on the schtick…

Since i moved this blog to wordpress somewhere in 2003 i never had gotten around to adding titles to all the old posts so one could actually click on them in wordpress. Thus this wealth of ancient history has been lost to all for quite some time, horrible! Today i installed a little plugin that lists each and ever post by month and year which was a good excuse to write a little script that cleaned up all the old posts and add titles and post-slugs, behold; Ancient History. Beware though, the page might take a while to load. Eat that Google

Did somebody forget to tell me it’s spam friday today? My comment and mail filters are churning overtime today… Bloody pill peddlers.

The daily link post think was a bit of a mess so for that you’ll have to check the delicious feed from now on. I’ll just stick to the regular (though not very frequent) posting schedule. And yes, James i’ll fix the blog to post the full blog post instead of the excerpt soon.

p.s. the daily linkdump will still be available through my RSS feed though…

update: full posts are shown on the homepage now, i must admit this is way better.

I made a simple widget that allows you to show the latest forum posts in widget enabled wordpress templates for our PussyCat Lounge blog. It might be useful to somebody else so download ahead if you use XD Forum:

xdforum.php.zip (version 1.0).

To use it follow the these steps:

1. Download and install the XD Forum plugin and follow the instructions to activate it
2. Make sure you have permalinks enabled and working for the forum
3. Download and unpack my widget
4. Activate the widget plugin if you haven’t already
5. Upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/widgets/ directory
6. Activate the widget in the Admin interface
7. Optional: Edit the title of the widget in your templates widget admin interface

Erno heeft zonet mijn bijdrage aan zijn 1 question interview serie geplaatst. Fris idee, en de verzamelde serie is een leuk kijkje in de keuken denk ik.
