Update: Pentagon admits using chemical weapons

But ofcourse immediately start playing down the seriousness of this fact: CNN.com - U.S. admits using white phosphorous as weapon - Nov 16, 2005.

If it’s not as bad as we think (a war crime in international law, but that never bothered the US before) then why did they lie about it?

I’am not a radical, but this is realy sick:

…white phosphorous shells are a standard weapon used by field artillery units and are not banned by any international weapons convention to which the United States is a signatory.

That seems to be the whole sick point, the American army is not using an WMD, according to their own definition white phosphorous shells do not fall under their WMD label. The rest of the World thinks differently, they signed the international weapons convention on these specific weapons.

If your in power you can make up the rules. The US never investigates their own victims, keeping silent is effective propaganda.
