Ever had to post a few dozen newsletters written in Word online. I bet you wish you could’ve just used save as HTML. Too bad Word is pretty crappy at making anything even resembling clean HTML. Enter the Word HTML Cleaner by Texism. Upload and away…

I want my semantic web. Even if it means embracing Microsoft, or some other organisation that will take care of my metadata. First step: translate every site to some flavour of XML. Ouch. Second step: Devise an ontology for everything that can be published to the internet. The words and sentences of the English language for instance, and those of the Chinese. Ouch2. In a more basic yet useful form I still think it can be done though. [via Tomalak]

According to my visitor logs almost twenty percent of my visitors come here looking for mobile phone operator logo’s featuring either Bin Laden or the Twin Towers. Not wanting their visit to be in vain I created a little NYC operator logo and placed it on my operator logos page. I’m afraid it looks slightly crappy since it’s kinda hard to fit the entire New York skyline on a 72 by 14 pixel image. I’m still wondering what they want to see in a Bin Laden logo though… At least some beards I guess, and some guns or bombs perhaps?
