And to top it all off, this morning I found out my bike was stolen as well. This is turning out to be a top-5 fucked up week.

This has been a strange week.

Exciting things have happened.

I have been robbed. Well not exactly… my house has been robbed. They took my dreamcast and my brand spankin’ new VCR. Which sucks. They left my stereo and my cd’s which is thoughtful. They did a nice job tough, neatly opened the front door without even making a scratch and totally fucking up the inner doors of both my neighbors and me. Why was that? They could have vented their agression on Soul Calibur. I can’t anymore which is probably bad news for my stress levels. Da cops did confiscate a CD with some bad guy paw prints on them so maybe I can one day go and boo at them in court.

I have bought a house. Well not exactly… I am going to buy a house. In “De Pijp”, which is the nicest, hippest neighbourhood in Amsterdam. No, really. And maybe it even has a smaller catburglar community.

And finally: Netscape 6 is outta beta! I heard it was even pretty stable an slick and stuff. Who knows, maybe one day the evil microsoft empire will…. no it probably won’t. Go download NN6 and use it though, every browserstat counts.

since I’ve installed my new 20gb harddisk in my machine, my deerly beloved soundblaster live 1024 refuses to make any sound, windows98 says it’s in perfect working order but I can’t hear any sound through my speakers :( Even linux (redhat 6.2 with kde) wont tell me what’s wrong with my soundcard, but that may be because I am a linux-newbie. Time to read some howto’s ;)

An inspiring link: www.juerd.nl a site made by an friend of mine, It’s quite impressive he used an version of html he created all by himself, he calls it htmpl, an mix between perl and html, and all his images are dynamicly created.

Is there something in the air that makes this a hack heavy month? Two dutch kids were arrested yesterday in a joint action by dutch police and the FBI. One was 16 the other 19. The 16 year old called MACE was running a server (werule.nl) which was confiscated by the police. WideXS which was hosting the server won’t comment on the story.

As you may have noticed I updated the T E S T L A B. It now contains a a massive TWO entries! well, anyway… I added a nice script that allows you to scroll the contents within a layer quite easily. Nice. I’ll be spending more hours on research in the near future (yes the boss pays) so you can expect some more additions in a short while…

Can you use LEGO to ‘optimize’ your party? Apparently you can…

“…How often have you heard someone at a party say, “Oh, change the music, nobody is dancing to this song!” Well, that problem is now solved with Rolighed’s invention, the PARTY OPTIMIZER. Stop dancing, and the music will change. Wave your hands to the camera, and it will play the track you want to hear!…”
