since I’ve installed my new 20gb harddisk in my machine, my deerly beloved soundblaster live 1024 refuses to make any sound, windows98 says it’s in perfect working order but I can’t hear any sound through my speakers 
Even linux (redhat 6.2 with kde) wont tell me what’s wrong with my soundcard, but that may be because I am a linux-newbie. Time to read some howto’s
